Summary EDI Developer
· Gentran EDI tools and X12 standards
· Develop and implement EDI maps using Gentran Server for NT.
· 3-4 years of experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle SR's with Oracle Support.
· Provide support to EDI trading partners to ensure accurate and timely processing of data, and to ensure availability and reliability of solutions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle SR's with Oracle Support.
- Minimum 2 years mapping experience
- Bachelor Degree in IT, MIS or CS, or equivalent experience, Masters preferred.
- Knowledge of Gentran EDI tools and X12 standards.
- Strong functional, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a heterogeneous organization (internal, outsourcing, off-shoring), and in an international, multicultural company.
- Self motivated, customer service oriented, and strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Willing to travel if needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to EDI trading partners to ensure accurate and timely processing of data, and to ensure availability and reliability of solutions
- Provide technical support to users of Telxon units and COMS III.
- Work with other departments, as necessary, to resolve problems relating to EDI.
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot applications servers and modems.
- Develop and implement EDI maps using Gentran Server for NT.
- Work with business on assigned Help Desk tickets and research data and bug fix to resolve them while following application support protocols and help desk process flows with vigor.
- Engagement in customer facing and customer communication tasks while interacting with IT technical support team, Business users and Super Users, and quality assurance team, and to improve efficiencies in existing solutions.
- Adherence to all SLA and programming standards.
- Work with IT quality assurance and software delivery teams regarding code tuning efforts, project phase, post-implementation phase, and performance analysis, as matters are observed in the production environment.
- Handle 24x7 on-call assignments as per application support schedule.
- Assist with functional documentation and process flow design areas.
- Daily time reporting and weekly status reporting as per specified standards and guidelines.
- Participate in the periodical rollout and provide application support of additional functionality/releases/upgrades.
- Identify training opportunities / knowledge gaps
- Work on additional assignments as delegated by management.
