Development Operations Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA

Duration: 12-18 month contract 

Number of Openings: 3

 

This person will be located onsite in the San Diego office.

The person filling this role will help design and develop the server-side software services necessary to support Decision Management Platform functionality.

This person must fully understand the complete development lifecycle and act as a liaison between the Development team, Engineering, and also Operations.  They will be helping to design, implement, and maintain installation and upgrade scripts as well as monitor and manage the infrastructure to ensure customer SLAs are met.

 

Required Skills:

•        3+ years in a system administration or software development position

•        Strong networking and Linux – UNIX experience

•        Previous working experience in a SAAS environment

•        Advanced scripting experience; Bash, Python, Ruby, etc

•        Configuration management automation experience; e.g., Puppet, Chef, etc

•        Previous work experience coding in Java

 

Desired Skills:

•        Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-a-Service products; AWS, CloudStack, OpenStack, etc

•        Familiarity with Platform-as-a-Service products; OpenShift

•        Strong troubleshooting skills;  be able to identify issues with code

•        Agile software development experience
