POSITION
Citrix Support Consultant
Allentown, PA.
1 year contract
$45/hour
Description:
· Support and troubleshoot the various Citrix Environments: version 4, 5, and 6.5.
· Support migration of applications from the 4 and 5 environments to the new 6.5 environment.
· Participate an off hours on call rotation supporting the Citrix infrastructure.
Experience Level Requirements:
· Citrix Presentation Server v4 / 4.5.
· XenApp v5 and above, with preference towards XenApp v6.5.
· XenDesktop 5.x.
· Provisioning Services v6.x.
· Web Interface Management.
· Windows Server 2003 32 bit and 64 bit and above preference towards Windows Server 2008 – strongly preferred.
· Management / Automation through PowerShell and/or VB Scripting.
· VMware vSphere v4x – 5.x.
Technical Skills and Abilities:
· Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop advanced troubleshooting.
· Analyze problems within the environment and drive to root cause resolution.
· Analyze, support and administer XenApp/XenDesktop environments to include usage, long-term strategy, network capacity and/or licensing.
· Responsible for day to day activities to ensure high availability of infrastructure that hosts mission critical systems and applications delivered via XenApp and XenDesktop VDI platforms.
· Coordination of change testing and implementation in a production environment.
· Document configurations and procedures that will be transitioned to the Help Center and other Support teams.
· Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
· Incident Management – Incident Review, Follow-up, and Resolution.
Certifications:
· Citrix Certified Associate (CCA).
