Role: Mainframe Programmer/Developer
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
· Mainframe professional with 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating the following:
· Knowledge and use of: ISPF, COBOL, DB2 (including utilities), JCL, File-Aid, QMF, CICS, Abend-Aid, Xpediter, job scheduling software (Control-M if possible)
· MS Word, Access, Excel, Visio
· Change Control Software (Changeman and/or TFS preferred); (CLIST, automated testing tools -- a plus).
· Mainframe and distributed software testing
· 2-3 years of COBOL development experience will be helpful (but this is not a software development position)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
The Mainframe Configuration Management Analyst will be involved in the following activities.
· Load and maintain mainframe and distributed test environments
· Create and maintain testing schedules and issues logs
· Knowledgeable in the Release Management and execution of a System
· Knowledgeable in the Management and execution of a System test or a Regression test.
· Resolve environmental and logistical testing issues.
· QA and review the developers' JCL's and implementation packages
· Handle communications related to testing schedules and events.
· Participate in developing, validating, and execution of all levels of testing.
· Resolve complex technology issues. Develop and recommend IT solutions to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Integrate continuous process improvement/refinement by utilizing and applying operational and performance procedures.
