Job Title : Anti-Spam and Anti-Abuse Messaging Platform Consultant
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Duration : 6+months Contract
Job Description:-
This person will be part of a growing team that will support Comcast residential and commercial anti-abuse/anti-spam messaging systems. The responsibilities for this position include a full range of activities required to combat spam, phishing, email-borne viruses, and bot nets, including working with vendors, developing new policies and systems, and performing operational activities including monitoring, reporting and analytics.
Required Skills:-
Ability to deliver the items listed in the major duties section, as well as an ability to multi-task between several projects, and ability to adapt to change.
At least 2 years of engineering experience or Linux system administration experience in a large-scale enterprise or service provider environment.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, SSL and HTTP.
Demonstrated experience with security policy, including email and/or web threats and knowledge of common anti-abuse strategies and methodologies.
At least 2 years’ experience with implementing and maintaining large scale messaging systems is preferred.
Proficient with Perl/Python & shell scripting.
Experience with Java, JavaScript, and databases is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret SMTP logs, non-delivery messages, and rejection codes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Must be able to author and interpret detailed requirements/specifications, and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizations and with large groups.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimum direction.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
Must be a flexible, resourceful, team player that is able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Creative thinking, critical analysis, and problem solving skills are essential.
