Job Title : .Net Developer with Mapforce Exp.

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Duration: 6+ months

Role Description:

The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned 

by the Application Team.

Contractor will provide support in various business areas for BIT to support the Environmental Data Exchange Node. The 

resulting work may benefit any program area within DEP, depending on the particular assignment. The contractor must 

follow the DEP standards and methodologies and work closely with DEP team leaders/management.  Some Business 

Intelligence maintenance support may be performed, depending on the team's needs and contractor experience. 

Primary support will be to provide development and maintenance activities for the national environmental data exchange 

initiatives.

Tasks performed will include, but are not to limited:  developing SQL and PL/SQL queries to extract data from enterprise 

tables into staging tables used to create XML files for submission to EPA, development of XML files and services using .Net 

and Altova Mapforce based on pre-defined Oracle or SQL Server staging tables, and monitoring and testing of these 

processes, and contributing to or drafting technical documentation, including ERDs, requirements and implementation 

guides. 

Skills Required:

Experience with Oracle DB Platform 11g

Experience with .Net Web Services development

Experience writing technical documentation

Experience with developing SQL and PL/SQL queries

Experience with Altoova's Mapforce and XML

Experience with Visual Studio 10

Strong Communication skills, written and verbal

Knowledge of OpenNode2

Experience w/ a structured Sys Dev Methodology

Knowledge of Business Objects Universe Design

Knowledge of National Environmental Information Exchange Network (NEIEN)
