Role                       : Solution cum Data Architect

Location               : Dublin, CA

Start Date            : ASAP

Duration              : 6 Months +

 

 

Job Description:

 

•    A thought leader, Solution cum Data Architect with 15 + years of experience.

•    Taking full end to end ownership (responsibility of  providing technical leadership to the project team  and being responsible to Liaison between Client and Ness Development Team

•    Facilitate understanding  requirements, use cases, and documenting technical solution

•    Reviewing the technical documents and code, and all the technical deliverables

•    Someone who understands and has vast experience on handling and managing large financial /asset management data

•    STRONG knowledge and experience in Financial Data compliance, entitlement based data access, data security compliance in any financial services organisation is a MUST

•    Someone who is well versed with ETL technologies especially Informatica and has worked on different Databases (esp Oracle) and is technically hands on and can guide his team on every step.

•    Experience in any DATA FEDERATION/ VIRTUALISATION tool is a must

•    Responsibility will be to design and propose possible solutions (Enterprise level) evaluate options and make proposal

•    Evaluate, present, select and take buy-in of appropriate technologies, tools and defend the same

•    Stand by the solutions proposed with conviction till the successful take off

•    Help Technology team with cost and effort estimation for each phase of entire program end to end

•    Talk to client’s business as part of  Client’s Technology team to convince and justify the technical approach, discuss proposed solutions, technologies and costs

•    Build the team and provide guidance and help with POCs and designs, review them

•    Help the team through the execution phase

 

(2) Competencies – Technical / Functional and Managerial

Tech Lead/Manager (ETL-BA)

•    STRONG and CLEAR COMMUNICATION SKILLs (Written and Verbal)

•    Demonstrates a good knowledge of software programming techniques, which include the understanding of various programming paradigms and their associated development tools in order to create software code implementations of a given design.

 

Primary Technical / Functional Skill:

 

MUST have strong knowledge and experience designing data architecture and solutions

MUST have strong knowledge in data extensive projects  (At least two-three significant projects in  

financial industry

MUST  HAVE STRONG knowledge and experience in Financial Data compliance, entitlement based data access, data security compliance in any financial services organisation

MUST have STRONG PRESENTATION AND DOCUMENTATION SKILLS

MUST have strong knowledge in Oracle, Oracle PL/SQL & SQL and should have at least  3+ years of experience

MUST have strong knowledge of APIs (APIGEE Tool preferred)

MUST have strong knowledge in Informatica and should have minimum 5+  years of coding experience

a.Should have knowledge on Extraction data from different platforms and applications

b.Should have knowledge in design and development of ETL interfaces.

c.Should have worked on Informatica version 8 and above

d.Good understanding of ETL architecture

MUST have strong knowledge in DATA FEDERATION TOOLS (Preferably- COMPOSITE)

Will also be evaluated for: Secondary  Technical / Functional Skill

1.Good to have knowledge in EDM tools like Golden Source, Job Schedulers like ControlM, Autosys

2.Good to have knowledge in Kimball’s or Inmon methodologies

3.Good to have knowledge in Dimensional Modeling

4.Good to have knowledge in DB & ETL performance tuning
