Job Title                               : SAP BW Developer
Location                               : Dallas, TX
Duration                              : 6 month contract
Interview process           : 1-2 phone screens

Job description:

• Performs analysis, documentation, development, coding, testing, debugging, and installs programs to support general business applications. Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts.
• More specifically prepares functional and technical specifications, tests and deploys solutions as new enhancements or system implementation. Designs, develops and implements SAP code technologies in a (AIX/UNIX/Solaris/Linux) environment(s) using relational database technology (Oracle preferred).
• Provides expert knowledge and understanding of SAP ecosystem including BW and any additional SAP products.
• Guides and recommends solutions to mentor junior developers and business SMEs. Provides expert technical knowledge with different areas of SAP and provide technical leadership for guidance and recommendations to solutions.

Skills or Competencies Required:

• Knowledge: Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
• Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, plans, conducts and may supervise assignments.
• Reviews progress and evaluates results.
• Will train junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work.
• Recommends changes in procedures.
• Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Reviews progress with management.
• Candidate must be able to: Develop and code for complex and very complex programs for SAP BW modules
• Develop test data and analyze problems in programs
• Recognize the critical elements of application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations
• Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
• Designs and solutions complex problems for short or long term strategy initiatives.
• Write clear and logical reports, program documentation, and instructions
• Work effectively and independently on multiple assigned projects
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with administrators, staff, users, project consultants, and vendors
• Technically mentor other team members
• Meet established priorities and schedules Learn and apply new concepts in information technology
• Learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology
