F2F is MUST, ONLY Send Candidate who can come for F2F
Client has an immediate opening for 5 SR BSA for Insurance Team . The focus will be on elaboration as the inception scope has already been defined and also will be covering the increasing scope on other workstreams related to this project. This is the standard Sr BSA profile they are looking for where the use cases are key to the success of the candidate. They highly prefer candidates that have annuities processing experience for these openings as they are losing the majority of their current BSA's who have this skill. They are looking for a true Business Systems Analyst and expect them to have the ability to run SQL query and be able to "talk tech" with development (but short of expecting complex queries or anything approaching coding), and also be able to dig into business process and needs to identify the true requirements. There is a lot of translation necessary in this role - business to technical and back again.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is familiar with a wide variety of business concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to IT and general operations; she/he relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, to perform a variety of tasks.
The Business Systems Analyst facilitates the coordination of requirements management and planning activities related to complex IT projects; conducts needs analysis, writes requirements specifications, collaborates with others for system design; and supports IT partners to increase productivity and reduce costs for a variety of business units. The main function of these Sr BSA's will be to work on inception detailed articulation and feature elaboration, the results captured in use cases (modeled around RUP but they have a home grown methodology) and associated artifacts like data mapping.
Exposure to variable annuities will be highly preferred but at least 5-7+ years of data and systems based analysis and strong communication and documentation skills are a must. Exposure to conversion on main frame would be ideal. They have a separate testing team so they will not be required to do their own testing.
