Client is looking for Big Data developer / Architect for a Permanent position in Chicago, IL.

We, XDuce Corporation are Oracle premium partner & We are directly working with client on a major social networking and collaboration portal initiative which will positively impact client business in years to come. This portal would help them in reaching wider audiences and one of the key initiative for the organization. Client intends to put up a new team which would help them execute this vision.
Requirement:
Ø Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and design patterns
Ø Strong experience with Core Java or experience with HDFS, Map-reduce and other tools in Hadoop ecosystem
Ø Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Map-reduce programming model and high level languages like pig or hive
Ø Experience with NoSQL data-stores like HBase, Cassandra
Ø Understands various configuration parameters and helps arrive at values for optimal cluster performance
Ø Knowledge of configuration management / deployment tools like Puppet / Chef -Setting up cluster monitoring and alerting mechanism tools like Ganglia, Nagios etc.
Ø Experience in setting up cross-data center replication -Mentors the team on performance optimization strategy and creates best-practices
Ø Understands how security model using Kerberos and enterprise LDAP product works and helps implement the same
Ø Strong experience on Big data technology platforms
Ø Must have worked on 3-4 projects on Hadoop
Ø Should have Hadoop Cluser sizing experience
Ø Should have knowledge on other big data tools - pig, hive, Hbase, Ambari,
Ø Should be excellent in communication & presentation skills Candidate should be flexible to move across US locations.
