Explanation for Position:

Lead software developer to analyze the existing Java and PERL based Web Content Management System and prototype solutions to eliminate customizations and migrate to a modern standard version of the CMS (HP Team Site).

 

Details of Position:

·         Works with project team to develop & design application programs & systems to implement interactive & dynamically generated components of the organization's website. Creates system architecture designs.

·         Analyzes technical requirements, creates system designs & specifications.

·         Programs & debugs complex programs.

·         Proficient in Java.

·         Must demonstrate a full understanding of internet programming concepts such as CGI and Servlets.

·         Proficient with Internet languages such as HTML, XML, & JavaScript.

·         Knowledge of systems architecture.

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         Ability to effectively analyze technical options.

 

Management Skills:

·         Provides supervision to Web Developers.

·         Takes direction from the Project Leader.

·         Requires minimal degree of supervision for project task work, seeks out direction from supervisor to keep assignments focused on objectives, recognizes and evaluates issues on assignments.

·         A bachelor degree in Computer Science/related discipline is required.

·         Requires a minimum of 8 years web development experience utilizing Java/J2EE. Occasional weekend work required.

·         Must be available to work July 4, the end of December and over the New Year's holiday as needed.
