Position Summary: Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Analyst will be responsible for the day to day support of the Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) enterprise application, including user inquiries, incident management and system bug fixes. Additionally analyst will also provide analysis, design, and development (configuration/extracts/interfaces) for application initiatives, including upgrade and deployment support for the Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) environments. Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Analyst will also partner with the business community to understand their processes/requirements and the utilization of technology/applications. Additionally Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) analyst will work closely with other development/technical teams, participating in change management and problem management process.
Technical Requirements: •Experienced providing technical application support for Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Information Manager/Information Center •Experience with Oracle 11 databases (required) •Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), especially integrated with Oracle Knowledge (preferred) •Experience on working in Windows 2008 Server Environment (required) •Experience with the operation, configuration, and support of enterprise systems/applications (required) •Experience with application/server log analysis, including investigation and follow-up of anomalies (required) •Analyst will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, supporting a global user base with prompt response and resolution times (required) •Analyst will be available for off-hours/weekend maintenance/support work as needed (required) •Ability to constructively interface with 3rd party application vendor (Oracle) to report, investigate, and escalate technical trouble tickets/service requests (required) •Good understanding of web architecture including application servers such as Tomcat and IIS (preferred) •Experience with Java Application Development (preferred) •Experience with Source Control Software Systems (preferred) •Experience with Windows Batch Scripting (preferred) •Good understanding of ITIL processes such as incident management, problem management, and change management (preferred) •Good understanding of testing methodologies and experienced in writing test scripts for functional validation, unit testing, integration testing (preferred)
Behavioral Requirements: •Excellent troubleshooting and strong analytical skills with a solutions oriented mindset are required •Must be able to independently study documentation, manuals, knowledge bases, etc. to understand system architecture and apply abstract knowledge to actual system implementations. •Must be able to successfully manage complex issue resolution •Must have excellent customer focus •Must have excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills and strong work ethic •Must have ability to learn quickly, be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines and creating and improving processes •Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment •Must be self-motivated; able to plan work effort and manage to schedule and priorities •Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
