Job Summary:
The role is for an SOA Architect who has expertise in shaping of SOA based solutions for the customer, providing independent governance of the delivery of solutions. This resource will define high-level solution architecture based on initial discovery and early understanding of a client's needs in addition to defining and implementing a detailed technical architecture during the course of a project. The resource will play a key technical leadership role in the technical design, development, and implementation of SOA 11g Solutions. This person will play a technical leadership role throughout the life-cycle of the project and will have significant interaction with key client personnel. In addition to the project responsibilities, the resource will also play a key role in helping to grow and develop our capability to implement Oracle SOA 11gsolutions.
Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experienced architecting and implementing solutions using Oracle SOA 11g as well as experience in designing and developing SOA based applications. This person should be able to work independently including identifying tasks and activities that need to be performed.
Client Specific Requirements:
· Understand Client's architecture
· Reviewing of requirements with business
· Conduct extensive discussions with Business owners and stakeholders
· Make recommendations of SOA integrations based-upon Client architecture
· Design & make recommendations of integrations based on business process & needs.
· Prioritize requests of SOA integrations & services.
· Understand & enforce the governance of SOA
· Ability to understand business requirements & culture of organization
· Propose & Design solutions based on roadmap for future years.
· Ensuring re-use of services & establishing a SOA based framework
· Extensive Experience in leading/executing SOA Integrations.
Key skills and Responsibilities:
SOA Architect:
· Responsible for developing and presenting solution architecture of Oracle SOA 11g that address customer issues and concerns keeping a keen eye on the customer's Enterprise Architecture principles and roadmap.
· Responsible for proposing specific solutions that fit within the customer's business environment and business objectives and can be shown to address the customer's business problems and exploit opportunities. Through the discovery process, the SOA Architect is able to understand customer business drivers and current IT environment. .
· Responsible for Defining the technical solution to meet the agreed non-functional requirements e.g. system availability/resilience, performance, manageability, capacity planning, security and identity management
· Translate solution architecture definition into physical architecture requirements based on expected volumes, loads, and other technical requirements
· Work with Project Delivery to ensure that the technical architecture is feasible and will meet the business expression of non-functional requirements
· Assess infrastructure and environment requirements of the project, systems or services and recommend architectural solutions.
· Strong hands on experience in design, development, implementation and administration of enterprise integration services using Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies for SOA, specifically, OSB, SOA Suite and OEM. The ideal candidate will also have a strong SOA Administration and development background in Java EE and XML technologies on Web logic platform.
Core competencies (required):
Previous delivery & Architecture experience in one or more of the following areas –
· Oracle Service Bus 11g (Proxy Services, Business Services, JCA Bindings)
· Oracle SOA Suite 11g (BPEL, Mediator, various SOA adapters, Business Rule, Human Task)
· Strong knowledge of SOA Repository structure and its maintenance
· Strong knowledge of Enterprise wide cluster based installations in 3-tier mode.
· Experience in Tuning SOA based environments to perform as per Enterprise requirement.
Other desired competencies:
· Communication skills – ability to clearly articulate and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people or technical people without SOA background.
· Good understanding and knowledge of Design Patterns- good understanding of technical design of complex SOA integrations
· Experience in using Oracle Fusion Middleware in integration projects will be an advantage
· Knowledge of SOA Governance using OER, OSR, or other tools will be another big plus
· Knowledge of SOA monitoring using OEM Grid Control will be an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
