Job Description:

Staff augmentation to perform Oracle Application Server and Middleware administration tasks

Staff will perform the full range of Oracle Application and Middleware system administration tasks including, but not limited to:

•  Install, configure and maintain Oracle Application Server, Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Portal, and Oracle BPM in AIX 5.3/6.1 and Windows 2003 environments;
•  Work with teams of application programmers, DBAs, and system architects to create solutions to meet business goals;
•  Develop and participate in the adherence of standards, processes, and procedures;
•  Perform off-hours (evening or weekend work) as needed for emergency or maintenance tasks;
•  Perform optimization and tuning activities;
•  Plan, schedule, and perform Oracle software upgrades;
•  Troubleshoot Oracle database and middleware connectivity and access permission issues;
•  Writing shell or Perl scripts for administrative tasks or data transfers;
•  Maintain documentation related to system configuration changes;
•  Provides recommendations on technical architecture;
•  Provides hands-on training and mentoring for other administrative staff.

Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

Installing, maintaining, upgrading,configuring and patching Oracle Application Server 10g and or 11g including Oracle Portal

Installing, maintaining, upgrading, configuring and patching Oracle Internet Directory (OID) including integration with Active Directory

Exp with Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 10g and above

AIX 5.3 or higher and/or Linux

Troubleshooting Oracle Application Servers and databases

Admin in windows server 2003+ or higher

Deploying Oracle Application Server in a high availability environment

Experience writing and/or debugging scripts in unix and/or windows

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

Please note that our client does allow Skype/remote interviews.  However they reserve the right to require an in-person interview.
