Job Role: QA Tester
Location: Dublin, CA
Job Description
The Automation tester should have a deep understanding of test automation frameworks, understanding of QA process and methodologies .The capacity to work under pressure, must be able to work in a team as well as independently.
As a member of Product Quality team, you will assist in defining and developing test automation tools and process for tasks associated with improving the overall quality of the software product. Provide guidance to other team members. Specify, design and implement changes to existing test infrastructure.
May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent. 5+ years of Test Automation experience.
Responsibilities:
• Strong understanding of QA principles and processes.
• Experience of working in a fast paced Agile/Scrum environment.
• Define, implement and document test automation framework using Selenium with Java (including record and playback).
• Experience in designing and developing/extending automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience with functional and automation testing for web applications and/or web services.
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills and an ability to come up with innovative solution.
• Experience in developing high quality test plans, test cases and execution.
• Experience using and administering at least one source control such as cvs, svn.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (design, coding, testing, packaging, maintenance).
• Knowledge of Defect life cycle.
• Experience of defect tracking tool.
• Excellent Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and communications skills.
• Knowledge of the Taleo technologies (Java, SOA, Flex,Web Services) is a plus.
• In collaboration with the development teams, put in place continuous integration and smoke testing builds for regression.
Qualifications
• BS or MS degree or equivalent (Computer science or related discipline).
• English spoken and written.
• QA related certifications an added advantage.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in software quality.
• Minimum 5+ years if experience in test automation.
• 3-5 years of test automation experience using Selenium/Webdriver.
• Experience of flex automation using Selenium a big plus.
• Experience of product testing a big plus.
• Ability to develop requirements for existing and future applications deployment.
• Ability to design, develop and document guide lines and processes related to application management.
• Ability to analyze and summarize customers and users' needs.
• Ability to follow instructions and best practices
• Autonomous, motivated, structured and organized
• Experience with HP ALM or similar solution.
• Experience with the SQL language and knowledge of Oracle databases is an advantage
