Position:Siebel Consultant
Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 6+ Months Contract


Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Develops and configures the Siebel application as per functional business requirements. Demands technical skills sharp in both technology trends and ''best practices'' of the Siebel implementation standards that leverage the standard *vanilla* code and keep customization/enhancements to a minimum.
Gathers requirements, performs system design, creates architectural diagrams and documentation, executes a design within a project schedule, performs unit testing, coordinates with a QA team, deploys systems, and performs system maintenance.
Coordinates with other teams, including those who want to interface with Siebel and with the Business Analyst team lead to design solutions for the BI environment.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex production issues
Challenges the status quo and able to identify creative technical solutions
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description. and Supervisor's instruction in such away as to maximize output.
Support day to day operations
Support change management process
Ability to translate business requirements to solutions delivered via Siebel FINS/ENU version 8.x+
Participate in the full Project life cycle from analysis thru final implementation
Create functional and detail specifications
Evaluate available technology and recommend solutions
Strong work ethic
Able to work independently
Results oriented
Able to articulate technical concepts into business terms

Requirements - Technical/Functional Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field followed by 5+ years of related professional progressive work experience in the job offered or in software development, programmer analyst or related software development positions. Experience and/or education must include:
·Siebel related products, including Siebel configuration, workflow and web services.
·Packages: Siebel CRM Application
·Languages and Tools: Siebel VBScript, eScripts, XML, HTML, DHTML.
·Experience in all aspects of Siebel CRM FINANCIAL package (escript, workflow, configuration, web services)
·5+years of demonstrated expertise in Siebel (8.x +) development
5+ years of experience in Siebel Tools (8.x +)
Expert level proficiency in Siebel Configuration (Business Components, Business Services, Views, Applets) and eScript
Expertise in Siebel EAI (http/s web services), EIM and Workflow
Expertise in the underlying Siebel (PARTY) data model
Expertise in Oracle RDBMS including SQL and/or PL/SQL
Previous development lead experience a plus
Health Insurance experience a plus
Siebel FINS/ENU experience a plus
Previous end-to-end software delivery lifecycle experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational database behavior sufficient to analyze and predict interactions between the Siebel application and the underlying Oracle database.
