QA Engineer


Job Title:         QA Engineer
Location:         Hartford, CT
Duration:         Long term

 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Assist application team in testing the applications from an end-user's perspective

·         Independently handle assigned tasks with minimum guidance

·         Actively participate in QA related activities, User Acceptance Testing to help project team produce a high quality release

·         Reviewing requirements, business and system use cases, technical specifications and other project documentation

·         Writing UA test plans & test cases to verify requirements, providing test estimates

·         User acceptance test execution, defect reporting and tracking to closure, test status reporting to different stakeholders

·         Ability to support multiple projects concurrently (typically critical projects or major accounts)

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ø  Must have 4 to 6 years of experience of performing user acceptance testing from an end-user's perspective and defect management for enterprise applications

Ø  Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience testing web-based software products and backend applications

Ø  Extensive experience with HP Quality Center for test and defect management, requirements traceability, test reporting etc.

Ø  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

Ø  Experience of testing Identity Management products

Education Requirement: Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred.
