Role:
SME / MS Systems Engineer – 3 month contract
Microsoft Engineer with a deep and thorough understanding in Exchange (2003/2010 specifically). Someone to come in for 3 months and help document and implement the environment. Please note there is no possibility for this position to go permanent. It is strictly contract. Don't believe it will go past 3 months but you never know if business conditions change.

The ideal candidate should have:
At least 10+ years of experience with Exchange Server (2003, 2007, 2010, and 2013)
Exchange Server 2003
Exchange Server 2007 including experience implementing and troubleshooting Cluster Continuous Replication, Single Copy Cluster and Local Continuous Replication
Exchange Server 2010/2013 including experience implementing and troubleshooting Database Availability Groups, split brain, high availability, anti-spam technologies, and complex environments
Practical experience troubleshooting Exchange Server and Windows
Server performance problems
Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007 & Outlook 2003
Experience delivering and/or authoring technical training
Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, and professionally communicating to all parties involved.
Demonstrated an increase in roles and responsibilities, proactively and progressively
The ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
Worked in high pressure, high growth, and high transaction environments
Comfort working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Strong Organizational communication skills
The ability to work independently

Education
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in IT or certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, MCDST, A+, Network+, Server+, Security+
The company's Corporate IT function has a contract opening for a Microsoft Systems Engineer who will be responsible for delivering Microsoft Exchange Server support and optimization of the Exchange environment for the company and its affiliates, subsidiaries, or business units. The goal of the associate is to positively impact customer satisfaction and expand internal visibility of customer issues by managing complex, mission critical issues from all Exchange and related environments.
Duties:
Act as a resource for on-going Exchange Messaging planning and deployment.
Help with analysis of migration to new Exchange Server environments.
Provide Exchange Server workshops and training for customer's existing support staff.
Deliver timely and high quality solutions to problems and requests focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, knowledge transfer, and opportunity generation. Manage escalations and sub-cases to ensure timely and high quality resolution of all issues.
Develop and implement strategies for providing facilitative support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deployments. .
Execute formal post-mortem process on closure of critical issues.
Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers
Works closely with various IT and business groups to promote adherence to policies
This position requires a strong technical background and is expected to stay abreast of the current and future technologies
Act responsibly as a representative of the Corporate IT Support department
Suggests creative and efficient programs, guidelines, methods, and procedures to enhance the quality of services provided by the IS department
Acts as Tier III resource for all Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, and Lync technologies
Create, update, and maintain Operational IT policies and procedures
Participate and maintain the ITIL- like change control process
Performs other duties as assigned
