Position / Project Summary:
SQL Analyst III will create a BI platform for the company. Company has been using business objects: not working out well. Prototype created but seeking help from these Analysts to get a better perspective on creating views for end users (dashboards, etc.).
Have 4 different managers whose end users (Streams) who will need an analyst assigned to each stream. Developers – no database administration necessary- they have data services team who are tasked with this already. Rather they need someone with solid SQL writing skills. When questions come in, these people can transfer into SQL and translate for end users.
Skills Required:
-Solid SQL writing skills
-Web Analytics or Ecommerce experience
-Front End Skills like HTML and jQuery + PHP scripting experience
- Looking to integrate Tableau -someone with this background would be a plus
- Years of experience- 2 years
Randstad Technologies is seeking a full-time Analytics Team Report and Dashboard Developer to design, build, test and QA existing and new dashboards and reports. The Developer will design and develop new dashboards/reports, troubleshoot current dashboards/reports, and enhance existing dashboards/reports across a wide spectrum of our client's business programs.
The Developer will be responsible for analyzing and validating incoming dashboard/report specifications from internal end-users, designing elegant solutions, and developing dashboards/reports using industry best practices. The Developer also will be responsible for identifying problems and performing necessary updates and testing to existing dashboards/reports.
This candidate will ensure the performance integrity and quality of reports, resolve problems and coordinate closely with our Data Services team to ensure data quality and breadth. The Developer should be prepared to act proactively, quickly identifying business trends and effectively communicating with business owners.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of dashboarding/reporting experience.
- Expertise with large-scale data warehouses and SQL databases, preferably Oracle.
- Advanced Oracle SQL knowledge and skills in a dashboard/report setting.
- Proficient with analyzing large quantities of data and performing data validation, ad hoc analysis and optimized SQL queries.
- Experience working closely with internal business clients to solve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work in a small team environment, collaborating with colleagues across multiple time zones.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Solid communication, organization and time-management skills.
- Experience using Tableau or other BI reporting suites a big plus.
- Scripting experience a big plus.
