Job Description:  Telecommunications Engineer III

1.     Strong technical understanding of Wi-Fi technologies

a.     Strong understanding of 802.11 g/n/ac protocol

b.     Strong understand of 2.4 Ghz band and 5 Ghz band

c.     Strong understanding of the following underlying 802.11 technologies:

                                          i.    SU-MIMO

                                         ii.    MU-MIMO

                                         iii.    Beamforming

                                        iv.    Band steering

                                         v.    DFS

2.     Familiarity with Wi-Fi tools

a.     AirMagnet Spectrum XT

b.     AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer

c.     Savvius OmniPeek

d.     Metageek Chanalyzer

3.     Basic understanding of video technologies

a.     Different encoders

                                          i.    MPEG-2

                                         ii.    MPEG-4

                                         iii.    HVEC

b.     Different IP delivery mechanisms

                                          i.    HLS

                                         ii.    DASH

c.     IP video technologies

4.     Basic understand of network technologies

a.     TCP/IP

b.     HTTP

c.     WebSockets

d.     DNS

5.     Familiarity with Linux

a.     Collecting appropriate Wi-Fi and network information on Linux

6.     Candidate will be involved in

a.     Hands on analysis of Wi-Fi issues affecting video delivery

b.     Supporting teams with capturing of Wi-Fi data using appropriate tools

c.     Working with other team members on technical aspects of video products from a Wi-Fi perspective
