Job Title: Electronics/FPGA Design Engineer                       

Description:

Senior-level Electronics/FPGA Engineer responsible for electronics and FPGA  design, implementation and support in Thermal Imaging development.  We are looking for a candidate that has strong analytical and problem solving skills; is detail oriented and prioritizes effectively. The position requires someone that thinks independently but works well within the parameters of the project.  It is important that the candidate be a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The time frame of the assignment will be about 18 months.

 

Reports to: Chief Technologist Thermal Imaging                               

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Knowledge:

·         8-10+ years of experience working in a development role

·         Verilog/VHDL

·         Vivado and Xilinx SDK

·         Xilinx ZYNQ family

·         Existing IP blocks from Xilinx

·         Creation of IP blocks, design methodology and architecture

·         AXI-Bus interfaces and their FPGA implementation

·         Ethernet communication

·         Signal Processing

 

Experience as a Plus:

·         Communication protocols

·         ANSI C and programming of embedded systems

·         Microsoft Visual Studio and C++ or C#

·         OrCad Capture

·         Video or Imaging algorithms.

·         Infrared Absorbance based measurement product 

 

Education:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or other related field

·         Master's Degree Electronics or other related fields is a plus
