Mode of Interview:  Telephonic+ Skype   Need CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD OR EAD ONLY   Summary: Works within a multidisciplinary medical device development team, responsible for the multilingual graphical user interface (GUI) software development for a medical device, including all phases of development, from feasibility to requirements definition to design to verification and validation.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Code, test, debug, and document programming application activities following SDLC processes.  2) Recommend design improvements.  3) Perform standard engineering assignments which are typically a focused portion of larger projects adhering to defined methods, techniques, theories, corporate and division Standard Operating Policies.  4) Document development work including writing specifications.  5) Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smaller approved projects.  6) Assist in the preparation and participation in technical reviews and responsible for organizing data and preparing appropriate documentation for assigned projects.  7) Investigate and analyze technical support issues and design improvement suggestions.  Qualifications: 1) Ability to program in C++ or other similar O-O language (such as C#)  2) Experience with GUI development (design and test) with Graphics technologies such as OpenGL  3) A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g., SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile).  4) Experience with embedded or application software development.  5) Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good processes and best practices.  6) Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form.  7) Ability to work as a collaborative team member.  8) Desired: Experience with Safety-critical software development (design and test)  9) Desired: Experience with embedded system development with a commercial RTOS such as Green Hills Integrity or Vx Works  10) Desired: Experience with "User Experience" design  11) Desired: Experience with Design-Based test and unit test implementation (Vector CAST)  Background and/or Experience  B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 3 – 5-years related experience.
