Role: Linux Admin

Location: Tampa - FL

Duration: 6-12 months

 

Description:

Works as part of the Enterprise Infrastructure team to apply information systems technology solutions in support of identified business problems. Participates in the evaluation, selection, implementation and on-going support of software, hardware and tools used by the Enterprise Infrastructure team. Works under minimal supervision.

·         Works with a variety of outsourced production support and application development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet overall business information requirements and application's functional requirements.

·         Assists branch offices and internal customers with all aspects of software for the mid-range computer systems. Troubleshoots software problems. Recommends corrective/adaptive changes.

·         Sets up/audits the user security profiles and prepares security audit reports. Ensures the integrity of operating systems and prepares annual audits and audit reviews.

·         Develops and executes plans for implementation of new tools and/or technology. Conducts plan reviews and walkthroughs in an effort to communicate plans to other IS groups and to ensure the coordination and cooperation of all parties involved.

·         Writes technical documentation for existing hardware and software systems. Evaluates current/future needs, identifies existing/potential problems, and recommends modifications to improve processing capabilities.

·         Monitors remote and local systems performance to identify problems. Modifies system configurations to improve processing and availability as needed.
