Position: Microstrategy Architect
Location: Lincoln, RI
Duration: 6+ Months
Job description:
We are looking for MicroStrategy Architect. This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.
Domain: Datawarehousing & Business Intelligence
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with the following MicroStrategy 8 & 9i components: Architect, Desktop, Schema Objects, MicroStrategy Administrator, OLAP Services, BI Developer Kit, Intelligence Server, Object Manager, Narrowcast Server, Report Services, Mobile and Web
Proficiency with MicroStrategy 9i – Dynamic Dashboard, Flash Widget design, Report development, Mobile Application development and project design: Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Aggregation, Portal Integration, etc
Experience in configuring, governing, trouble shooting, tuning Intelligence Server, Web Server and NarrowCast Server
MicroStrategy Architect / Developer MUST also have experience on MicroStrategy Security Administration with exposure to administering large number of users and groups with security filters
Good understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling, Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, Data Warehouse and reporting techniques
MicroStrategy Architect / Developer must have in-depth experience with client server applications and architectures
Experience working with the full life cycle development process, which includes analysis, design, construction, and testing
Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior business and technical IT management
Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years' IT experience
Minimum of 6+ years' MicroStrategy Experience.
Strong experience on Dashboard Development
5+ years' experience using SQL with a relational DBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server
Should have onshore –offshore coordination experience.
Preferred Skills:
Microstrategy Mobile Experience would be a Great Plus
MicroStrategy Certification
Experience with the Web/ASP/HTML programming language
Proficiency with the Windows Server is a MUST and working knowledge of MicroStrategy suite running on UNIX/LINUX operating systems
General experience with business applications in the areas of supply chain management and production control
