Position: Java Developer

Location: Des Moines, IA

Duration: 6+Months

Local and Face 2 Face…!!!

Responsibilities 

·         This position will help support our Policy and Casualty Admin systems in IT P&C.

·         Primary responsibilities include support of existing JAVA applications as well as new web development.

·         In order to support our systems we are looking for a professional with object-oriented design and programming experience using systems, databases and programming languages that develop software applications with Java.

·         College degree preferred; or an associate degree in programming from a technical/trade school plus 3-5 years of web development with Java or related system development experience.

·         Three years' experience in property/casualty insurance preferred.

·         Knowledge of data handling methods and development techniques required. Specific skills required include:

·         • Spring and Spring MVC

·         • XSL/XPath/XQuery

·         • JavaScript with jQuery

·         • Java EE

·         • MS SQL Server and DB/2

·         • Knowledge of Eclipse is a plus

·         • Knowledge of Acord Standards is a plus

·         • Knowledge of Informatica is a plus

·         Good analytical/conceptual thinking skills, technical systems knowledge, and problem solving skills are required.

·         Must understand the interrelationship between business and technology needs.

·         Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to relate to all levels, including upper management.
