Job Description:

 

v  Big Data Architect

v  10+ years of software development experience using multiple computer languages. Experience

v  building large scale distributed data processing systems/applications or large-scale internet systems (cloud computing).

v  Hands on experience on setting up the new Horton Works environment on Virtustream

v  Strong foundational knowledge and experience with distributed systems and computing systems

v  in general. Hands-on engineering skills.

v  Experience with a range of big data architectures, including OpenStack, Hadoop, Pig, Hive or

v  other big data frameworks.

v  Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL data stores, data modeling

v  and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, Mahout).

v  Strong interpersonal communication skills.

v  Ability to lead initiatives and people toward common goals.

v  Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills

 

Mandatory Skills:

v  Experience in the BD technologies - Hortonwork, Virtustream, PIG, HIVE, NoSQL data store

v  Architect solutions for key business initiatives ensuring alignment with future state analytics architecture vision

v  Work closely with the project teams as outlined in the SDLC engagement model to provide guidance in implementing solutions at various stages of projects

v  Engage constructively with project teams to support project objectives through the application of sound architectural principles

v  Develop and validate that the proposed solution architecture supports the stated & implied business requirements of the project

v  Review technical team deliverables for compliance with architecture standards and guidelines

v  Adopt innovative architectural approaches to leverage in-house data integration capabilities consistent with architectural goals of the enterprise

v  Create architectural designs for different stakeholders that provide a conceptual definition of the information processing needs for the delivery project

v  Provide technical and architectural subject matter expertise on Hortonworks Data Platform (Data mgmt- Hadoop, Data Access- HBAse, Hive/Pig, Spark, Storm., Integration - Kafka, Flume..)

v  Execute engagements as hands on Technical Architect and provide technical expertise for Big Data programs

v  Provide right-fit solution to implement variety of data, analytics requirements using Big Data technologies in Retail space

v  Provide expertise in defining Big Data Technical Architecture and design using Hadoop, NoSQL and Visualization tools/platforms
