Role: SSRS Developer

Location: Providence, RI

Duration: 6 to 12 + months

Will hire off of phone/skype

-          MUST HAVE

o   SQL Server 2014 or higher

o   SSRS

o   T-sql



Top Three Skills:

1) Must have 3-5 years of experience developing advanced reports using SSRS. Candidates must be able to develop the logic behind a report as well as create the front end of the report in preparation to be presented to the business.
2) Expertise in T-SQL creating complex queries and stored procedures.
3) Must have hands on experience with SQL Server 2008 and 2012; having used functions, triggers, views, queries, in both versions.

Job Description:

This role sits in the Transportation Logistics group within IT. The team is responsible for leveraging technology to develop innovative ways to drive operational efficiencies within their transportation division. This team has recently kicked off a project to refresh various Transportation Management systems with newer platforms. With newer platforms, come newer functionality that can be incorporated into reporting. UNFI is seeking a Senior SQL developer to provide complex reporting delivery to the business. Candidates will also need to have experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and T-SQL queries in support of the reporting functionality they are providing. This person will develop both the logic behind creating the reports and the front end of the report. It will be common for this person to work directly with the business once up to speed.

Additional Information:

Duties include: develop reports according to pre-defined specifications; assume independent responsibility for specific subject areas within the reporting and analysis arena; provide expertise regarding reports developed within the warehouse framework; work as the reporting development lead to improve performance and extend functionality; maintain and document operational environment.

General Qualifications:
•Experience in SQL developing and maintaining stored procedures and triggers.
•Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and reporting technologies
•Experience in application level problem diagnosis and troubleshooting, resolution and testing.

Mandatory Requirements:
•Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in SQL Server Reporting Services and development with SQL technologies
•Knowledge of SQL Server database architecture (components and processes of the database) for SQL Server versions 2008, and 2012.
•Coding and mapping to retrieve data from data warehouse.
•Strong analytic skills
•Superior organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to report delivery, support and documentation.
•Self-motivated and highly professional with ability to take on responsibility and work independently.
•Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
•Excellent client (internal & external) communication and liaison skills.
