I have 2 positions available, must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.  No H1B.

1.        Hadoop Developer  (no job description)

Location: Lisle, IL

Start: Immediate

Length: 6months plus possible extension

Interview: Phone/Skype

      

2.        Hadoop Administrator    (Same information as above.)

 

Hadoop Administrator 

Experience in Hadoop Administration. (This is an admin/security role only - not a developer) 

Consultants with more than 10+ years of work experience 
Good Knowledge of file system administration and replication. 
File system management and monitoring 
Data transfer between Hadoop and other data stores (incl. relational database) 
Ingesting additional data sources into Hadoop in either streaming or batch mode 
Configuring the cluster to be rack-aware 
Working with data delivery teams to setup new Hadoop users. This job includes setting up Linux users, setting up Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Hive, Pig and MapReduce access for the new users. 

Manage and review Hadoop log files 
Set up security configurations in Hadoop 
Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines 
Deployment of upgrades, updates and patches 
Provide troubleshooting and break-fix support for production services 
Diagnosis of installation & configuration issues 
Good communication skills.
