Systems Engineer to join their team. This will be a 12 months contract w/potential extensions in Austin, TX. This candidate must have 4 to 6 years of overall experience in the following technologies with at least 1-2 years of experience in Security technologies. Previous experience in managing Data protection technologies server/client implementations is desired.
 
These roles are the 1st positions on this new team. They will sit with an engineering team in Austin. Primary duties will be to provide operational support for Data Protection Technologies, to plan, execute and manage Data protection technologies server/client implementations and to ensure all security, quality and compliance requirements are met Tasks include monitor and address production issues related to data protection tools

Qualifications:
Security knowledge:
-Basic knowledge of data security standards - FFIEC, PCI-DSS
-Crypto background – encryption, hashing, etc
-Technologies/vendors in play: Safenet, Vormetric, Voltage, Thales, Cloudera Key Trustee
-Certificate management
-PKI and PKCS standards

OS/Platform level:
1.Linux/Windows OS expertise
2.Kernel expertise
3.Kernel Crash research experience
4.Various File systems knowledge – NFS, SAN etc.
5.RHEL packaging, RPMS and how they relate to Kernel, distributions, patching, major/minor versions..
6.The location on network utilities and start/stop are different across Linux distros, so this is a skill to have
7.Knowledge of Client Non-Stop (tandem)
8.Knowledge of MVS
9.Knowledge of z/TPF

DB level:
1.Knowledge of MS-SQL
2.Knowledge of Oracle
3.Knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop distribution and administration

Application level:
1.CLI & Web Interface management
2.Basic API integration & Debug skills with C/C++ & .NET
3.Web services
4.Java knowledge
5.Software Development lifecycle
