Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer position (with a chemical focus) that supports and manages (for assigned products) the planning and execution of Essentials Safety & Quality Assurance (ESQA) programs and processes for owned brand items, including review and assessment of guest contacts for situations requiring escalation and potential action. The Quality Engineer supports other partners to assure factory evaluations, field inspections, sourcing validation and product testing meets ESQA requirements. Products supported are primarily FDA-regulated and include over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, dietary supplements, medical devices and cosmetics. Some support for EPA-regulated products (e.g., FIFRA) is involved. For the specific product categories this position supports, the Quality Engineer acts as a primary contact for field operations, merchants and sourcing personnel and provides technical direction and guidance to team members as well as external vendor partners. Additionally, this position will provide product recall support (Essentials and Food) to the FESQA Recall team. Recall responsibilities include monitoring of recall inputs to determine impact to client, assisting with recall and withdrawal execution activities including store and distribution center pull-and-hold notifications, final disposition execution, compliance monitoring and reporting, agency reporting and internal communications to partners.
