The following are the skills our NCEs develop and utilize: • Excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills • Providing consultative, proactive and/or reactive support • Act as architectural Lead for the UCS Data Center infrastructure • Performs analysis of UCS network designs • Plans and supports highly complex UCS Upgrade and Migration activity UCS Network Consultant Engineer Provides customers with solutions in the area of UCS architecture and support. Helps development an ongoing methodology for operational excellence of the UCS environment. Provides analysis and best practice recommendations to include planned Data Center initiatives that meets the customer business requirements. Minimum Qualifications Key Domain expertise: Ability to Design, Deploy, Manage, Maintain and Operate an End-to-End UCS Domain infrastructure, UCS Manager, UCS Central. • 3+ years of professional hands-on UCS experience, preferably with UCS administration, implementation and design • Demonstrate expert level knowledge of Cisco Unified Computing System, including design, implementation, and management of the entire UCS domain. • Strong knowledge of UCS hardware, including but not limited to installation, physical and logical configuration • Familiar with the UCS product line and all UCS Chassis, Server, adapter and FEX models. • Knowledge of UCS Central and best practices • Knowledge of UCS Performance Manager • Strong understanding of storage concepts including FC, FCoE, iSCSI, NFS. • Understanding of virtual networking concepts a plus. (Nexus 1000v, AVS, DVS, etc.) • Compute technologies: x86, hypervisor (Openstack/KVM/VMware), OS (Linux/Windows), workload mobility • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash. Python experience is a plus. • Broad technical knowledge of the data center and its components: Applications, Storage, Network, Server and projects surrounding their planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization. • Architectural knowledge of virtualization tools and concepts |
