Project Details
The project that this entails is writing SQL extracts from the database that accepts data from a front end application. The data is submitted by our business units within the specialty pharmacy space. The SQL then is used to generate files to major drug manufactures that take the data, aggregate them together to monitor patient safety.
Also, there is a need for reports to be written into SSRS that branch off the data above for our business units as well as converting, optimizing and rewriting old code to newer stored procedures based off of new business rules being developed.
Responsibilities:
· Build partnerships across the application, business and infrastructure teams.
· Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
· Complete estimates and work plans with the assistance of more senior team members as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks.
· Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC.
· Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies.
· Help maintain, enhance and/or rewrite the existing exports, and reports
· Develop vendor and client exports that meet provided specifications
· Perform quality checks on reports and exports to ensure exceptional quality
· Monitor job and transfer queues to ensure they are functioning as expected
· Provide business users the data required for metrics and analysis
· Create and maintain documentation for all projects
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position.
· 4 - 6 years' experience in systems analysis, design or programming and the associated development methodologies with medium size or medium level complexity projects.
· Experience in SQL Server 2012/2008/2005, SSIS.
· 4+ years of experience programming in T-SQL and programming in client/server applications.
· 4+ years of experience creating reports and data visualizations, SQL queries, SQL Server procedures, functions.
· Experience in developing and updating SSIS and DTS packages
· Requirements gathering, iterations, visualization best-practices, design, deployment, and on-going enhancements
