A client of ours is looking for a LINUX Admin (Vulnerability/Patching expert) @ Dublin, OH, Scottsdale, AZ, Woonsocket, RI.

Job Position: LINUX Admin (Vulnerability/Patching expert)

Work Location: Dublin, OH, Scottsdale, AZ, Woonsocket, RI

Duration 6 – 9 Months

Job Description

                ·         In depth knowledge of RHEL 5, 6 and 7

·         Experience with Red Hat Directory Servers, Red Hat Satellite Server is a must

·         In depth knowledge of Logical Volume Manager and Native Multipathing

·         Expertise in large scale systems management and monitoring systems including Puppet & LDAP

·         Extensive experience on troubleshooting and resolving issues.

·         Patch management, update different utilities and operating system components. Managing patches for software certifications, data collection and reporting

·         Dealing with IT system security related issues, threat mitigation and reporting, making systems compliant to security standards.

·         Scripting/Automation of different tasks including patch management process.

·         Provides assistance and problem resolution on software/hardware issues.

·         Knowledge of Virtual/Physical Servers – HP/Intel Based

·         Documents installation procedures, changes, software/hardware products, and release levels of all products on processors according to established departmental procedures.

·         Develops and documents backup/recovery plan for Linux files.

·         Participates in business resumption (disaster recovery) planning, implementation and testing.

·         Monitors processors' resource usage and provides performance reports to management.

·         Administers disk space usage.

·         Interacts with technical support staff(s) on cross platform issues.

·         Keeps abreast of new products and developments in marketplace, using various established departmental procedures.
