Looking for a with experience in WebSphere Portal Migration.
Responsibilities:
• Migrate WebSphere Portal application from earlier version to Portal 8.5.
• Develop, support, maintain and implement new portlet applications which reside on WebSphere Portal server.
• Provide guidance and expertise in modern UI/Web application development using HTM5, JavaScript and frameworks, Spring and Struts applications.
• Investigate new technologies and provide architectural recommendations.
• Assist in code review.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or the equivalent related work experience
• Minimum of 6 years of working experience in software development.
• Minimum of 4 years of working with Java, J2EE, JSP, Struts or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years working knowledge with developer tool such Eclipse, Rational Application Developer (RAD), WebSphere Development Studio Client (WDSC) or different a similar IDE
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with WebSphere Portal Server or equivalent such LifeRay Portal.
• Working knowledge of Java Script and related frameworks
• Working knowledge of Spring framework, Hibernate, xmlAccess, Java Web services
• Working knowledge of SQL, and stored procedures
• Knowledge of Model-View-Controller paradigm is a plus
• Experience with Agile/Scrum a plus
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills and good presentation skills
• Ability to effectively analyze requirements to create usable test cases, conduct root cause analyses on system issues, document defects with clear information and steps to recreate, and accurately estimate work assignments
• Must be able to manage and seek prioritization for tasks to meet project deadlines, multi-task to meet assignment deadlines, show assertiveness, and demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
