We are looking for an experienced report writer to develop customized reports from databases to extract and collect data according to client or management needs. Building, maintaining, and porting existing data reports are primary duties. Proper testing and data validation of reports is another fundamental aspect of the job. Successful Report Writers function well independently and in a team, are analytical thinkers, are creative and innovative, and have excellent communications skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with end users and software developers to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation.
* Utilize SQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Excel, Tableau, and other reporting tools to effectively create reports that meet end user requirements
* Provide support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports.
* Uphold confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently
* Familiarity with various reporting platforms, including, but not limited to, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Excel
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including writing stored procedures and porting existing procedures to a new schema
* Proven working experience as a report writer
* Demonstrate outstanding communication skills in order to translate reporting requests to accurately meet the actual information and deadline needs of users
BENEFICIAL SKILLS
* Familiarity with a manufacturing environment
* Experience with Tableau Business Intelligence
