Job Description:

Technical/Functional Skills: Python, R, Ruby and Hadoop

Experience Required:   

·         At least 6 years of experience primarily in programming and software development, including Python, R and any other high-level language used in statistical computing.

·         2+ year's hands-on experience Hadoop - Hadoop ecosystem, Java MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Spark e.t.c.

·         Ability to work independently, define work tasks for others and monitor a team's work.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategies.

·         High level of proficiency using APIs.

·         Working knowledge of development tools such as debuggers, memory profilers, and performance measurement.

·         Knowledge of leading-edge technologies, new methodologies, and best practices applicable to work performed.

 

Responsibilities:             

·         Collaborate with various programming groups across AIG to execute standard software development activities including design, development, implementation, test, documentation, and support using standard established software engineering principles.

·         Manage the multiple work streams our Big Data Team juggles on a daily basis.

·         Develop techniques to analyze, enhance, and implement structured and unstructured data.

·         Operationalize Data science models

·         Generic Managerial Skills
