Nexus Network Engineer
Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Duration: 7 months
Must-haves
- Cisco Nexus Engineering/Operational experience - putting in a new driver, configuring ports, configuration work for onboarding new servers and VMs
- Layer 3 knowledge - look at ports and figure out where things aren't working
- Fabric Path knowledge
- VLANs, trunking, Routing/switching - OSPF, BGP
- Know their way around a VDC
- Knowledgeable enough with security to know if the issue is in the DMZ or internal.

Day-to-Day
These Nexus Network Engineers will be working in the Data Center, dedicated to helping network connectivity for onboarding new systems. They will work with teams as they implement new servers, VMs, configure ports, troubleshoot, and make sure everything comes up online. They will be on the networks people bring on systems, and they'll be monitoring the sites for problems and if they occur, they will find out where the issue came from and resolve it.
