Job Title: Network Security Analyst
Location: Deerfield, IL
Duration: 6+ Months

DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a well-known Chicago company in the NW suburbs, is looking for a Network Security Analyst to join their team immediately. The candidate must meet all of the requirements listed below. The candidate's resume must clearly reflect that the candidate has the experience associated with each of the requirements. They must be able to clearly articulate their work experience narratives that together with the resume are sufficient to demonstrate all experience.
This role is an integral addition to a small, highly collaborative project team that is implementing new technologies to strengthen our security profile.
REQUIREMENTS
•7+ years of practical experience in information security and administration, including penetration testing and incident response
•5+ years of experience in IT server/network administration and computer operations
•Extensive knowledge and experience with security concepts:
O Data security and access control systems, encryption and related matters
o Information protection methodologies and concepts, such as identification and authentication, access control, inception and audit trails
o System and network exploitation, attack pathologies and intrusion techniques, such as denial of services, Sync attack, malicious code, password cracking, etc
o Directory Services (LDAP, AD) and Internet/Intranet architecture and design
o Addressing and remediating malware security incidents
•Working knowledge of specific tools (strongly preferred) and best practices, or significant experience with comparable tools:
o Next generation firewalls (Cisco FirePower) = strongly preferred with penetration testing experience background.
o Network Access Control (ForeScout)
o Enterprise Mobility Management (MobileIron)
o SIEM (LogRythm)
o Other / miscellaneous tools
•Willingness and ability to train other staff on effective use of security concepts and tools
•CCNP Security certification or similar industry certifications (i.e. CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, GSEC, GCIH) are highly desirable
•Willingness to travel to CF plant locations (if needed)
•Excellent communication and analytical skills
•Strong problem solving skills to resolve complex problems requiring multiple approaches for resolution
•Ability to act independently and exercise good judgment as well as the ability to work cross-functionally within a team
