Job Requirements
Full stack developers, JavaScript, Spring, ATDD - Acceptance Test Driven Development, DevOps experience, Big Data.
Must have
Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript, REST, database skills. Full stack, not only front-end or back-end
Nice to haves JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Node.JS, React, etc.Devops experience with Openstack or PuppetBig Data- Spark, NiFi, Splunk, Apache
Education: Prefer Master's
Team Environment: works in Linux environment NOT Windows; need java developers comfortable in DevOps type of work, build engineering (Jenkins), GIP, assist in deployment configuration on server, etc.
These are NOT "code monkeys" - these java developers implement, code, test, build, engineer. This mindset of embracing Dev/Ops is common on west coast and it's this mentality and experience they are seeking. Working on X2 platform - some work on customer care side, others on platform back-end server side. Need developers who can troubleshoot end to end and comfortable working with Web Applications. Ok to be stronger on Java side more so then JavaScript, but must have both.
Soft Skills: comfortable working autonomously, enjoys start-up environment, bright/fast learner, thrives in environment with limited structure where roles are not highly compartmentalized, ambitious and requires little direction, communicates well, integrates and collaborates easily with team.
Generic JD: Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
