Job Description:

 

Technology :

•             Enterprise Computing - Windows/Unix Servers, DC Technologies, Data Base Technologies

•          End User Computing – Desktop Technologies

•          Network Domain – LAN, WAN Technologies Technical Project Manager 

•          Multiple requirements for Technical Project Manager's for Enterprise Computing, End user Computing and Network Domains.

 

•          Actively manage and direct project activities rather than passively administer and report on them.

•          Create and manage overall project plans based upon identified timelines, scope and resources

•          Create executive dashboard reports for governance meetings

•          Create weekly status reports and trackers for general consumption

•          Track project financials and costs including management and reporting. 

•          Track project resources management and reporting

•          Vendor and third party management and reporting

•          Clearly identify gaps in project delivery – time, cost, resource, deliverables, etc. and escalate as appropriate.

•          Develop action plans (go to green) for metrics deviations from the scope of work or current project plan.

•          Guide and manage project team with focus on project plan adherence and quality delivery.

•          Communicate effectively at various levels across client and delivery teams

 

Required Qualifications:

 

•             Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with a technical infrastructure migration scope

•          Exceptional communication skills – able to speak to large audiences, top executives, business and technical leaders. Able to adapt vocabulary and style for each situation; able to represent complex ideas with effective documents and visuals and to adapt presentations to the expectations and background of the audience

•          Extensive collaboration and stakeholder management skills - able to work effectively with others on common tasks; build rapport, gain support, instil confidence, take actions which respect the needs and contributions of others; find common ground; negotiate win-win solutions; and share credit with others; all while achieving the objectives of both the team and stakeholders

•          Understanding of IT Infrastructure Services Projects in various domains and prior experience managing those projects

•          Experience with work management and execution of Union-based jobs a plus

•          Project Management or experience with Technical Solutions on Network, Data Centre and End User Computing Area mentioned below

•          Microsoft Project and Visio in General

•          Network infrastructure – LAN/WAN 

•          Cisco/Microsoft/VMWare

•          Security/Firewalls

•          DC, Windows and Unix Servers, Data Bases

•          End User Computing and Desktop Technologies

 

Education and Certifications:

 

•             Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred

•          PMI Certification or Equivalent preferred

•          Years of Experience Required Overall 12-15 years IT Infrastructure domain experience preferred and around 8 to 12 years of Project Management experience.
