ROLE- Cyber Security Consultant
DURATION - 12+ month contract with our, located
LOCATION - DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, IL
MODE OF INTERVIEW – phone and in-person
THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT WILL INCLUDE:
- Identifying and condensing the system security needs (aka Security Requirements)
- Creating detailed security designs that address specific security gaps
- Making recommendations for standard processes and protocols to help alleviate security concerns
- Implementing, configuring and troubleshooting a wide span of security infrastructure devices – everything from Web Proxies, SEIM platforms, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Password Vaults, Identity Management and more!
- Informing management about security concerns and incidents as thoroughly and quickly as possible to mitigate the risk involved.
- Writing comprehensive security reports about assessments, findings, outcomes and propositions for remediation
- Specific tools this team uses include CylancePROTECT, CyberArk, Active Directory Federation Services , Bluecoat, Burp Suite, MetaSploit, XSS, Nessus and more.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Required Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or the equivalent work experience
- A true passion for security
- Preferred: CEH, Ethical Hacking, CISA, CISM, CISSP or other security certifications
- Experience with implementing, configuring and supporting the major security tools:
o Proxy Servers or WAF devices
o SEIM and /or Threat Management platforms
o Identity Management solutions (ADFS, Ping, Federation, RSA, CyberArk, etc)
o AntiVirus Solutions (Symantec, McAfee, CylancePROTECT)
- Great documentation skills – remember, you'll have to create some reports and roll those up to managers!
