Job Description:
Implements and maintains both voice and data communications systems and associated networks, routers, and switch configurations. Plans, implements, and makes recommendations concerning the installation, operation, and maintenance of related IP network projects.
Great verbal and written communication skills. This is a customer facing role.
Ability to use detailed knowledge of electronics and telecommunications to diagnose and correct communication problems.
Serve as point of contact for customers on WAN issues and be able to proactively resolve issue.
Education and/or experience:
Equivalent to an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree. 10+ years' of comparable work experience.
Experience with the following applications is a plus: Visio, What's up gold, wireshark, and Microsoft office.
Experience with the following protocols is a plus: OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP
Certificates: CCNA or equivalent. CCNP is a plus.
