Must Have Skills/Requirements:
• 3 – 4 years of extensive experience as Hadoop Developer and Big Data analyst.
• In depth understanding and usage of Hadoop Architecture frameworks and various components such as HDFS, Job Tracker, Task Tracker, Name Node, Data Node and map Reduce concepts.
• Experience in Sqoop/Flume/Kafka/Pig/Hive/HBase/MapReduce/Python Scripting and UDF development.
• Knowledge of Linux and strong command line abilities
• Production experience with large database systems
• Having good knowledge in Benchmarking & Performance Tuning of cluster.
Other Important Requirements:
• Good experience in OOZIE Framework and in automation of daily import jobs.
• Determined, committed and hardworking individual with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Works Data Product Owner to translate business requirements into a full end-to-end data solutions based on priority and business value
• Handled several techno-functional responsibilities including estimate generation, identification of functional and technical gaps, requirements gathering, solution design, development, product documentation, and provision of production support activities.
• Analyzing massive volumes of data, optimization and performance tuning
• Design, and develop automated test cases that verify solution feasibility and interoperability, including performance assessments.
• Provide suggestions on Big Data ingestion strategies from any data source or type
• Deliver implementation on permanent connector which includes data import, transformation, export and synchronization.
• Have experience in installing, configuring and administrating Hadoop cluster for major Hadoop distributions like CDH 3, CDH4, and CDH5 is a plus
• Experienced in managing Hadoop clusters and services using CLOUDERAMANAGER a plus.
• Experience in writing custom UDFs for Hive to incorporate methods and functionality of Java into and HQL (HIVEQL).
• Assisted Deployment team in setting up Hadoop cluster and services.
• Good experience in Generating Statistics/extracts/reports from the Hadoop.
• Good understanding of NoSQL Data bases like HBASE and Cassandra.
• Strong experience in Core Java, Pig, Hive, SQL.
