Job Description:
· Lead the gathering of functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
· Designing & developing web & mobile applications, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC's)
· Act as a technical leader: Mentoring junior engineers, applying technical expertise to challenging programming and architecture/design problems and driving the team to engineering and operational excellence in a high-velocity agile environment.
· Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
· Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
· Contribute to the architecture and design of the product
· Demonstrate passion and contribute to best practices for architecture, design, coding standards and release process
Required Qualifications:
· 8+ years experience architecting, designing, prototyping and developing web or mobile applications
· BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
· Strong leadership experience: Leading meetings, presenting, technical go to person, and cross-functional leader
· Polyglot developer who is comfortable working on Microsoft .NET stack and Java/J2EE
· C#, ASP.NET, MVC or better, Java/Node.js, AngularJS, mocking frameworks
· Familiar with: databases like SQL Server and distributed Cache
· Strong experience with Object Oriented Development (OOD)
· Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
· 3+ years of experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST
· Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process
· Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
· Familiar with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available web applications
· Experience with Agile Development & SCRUM
· Experience and passion for open source technologies, prototyping and/or researching the up and coming technology and solutions
· Experience with various, modern web frameworks
· Passion for trouble shooting issues in production and being data driven
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with social, mobile, Cloud/SaaS, big data
