This posting is for a Systems Analyst-Business Intelligence to join a solution center program support team with responsibility for execution of the end-to-end estimation process for application development/service. This is a growing service and many groups across our organization need estimation data for leadership decision making and trending. This person is the primary contact for estimating proposed work and must ensure any resulting artifact and/or data is clear and defensible.
Profile/ Skillset: ? Knowledge of the estimation process ? Experience using a formalized estimation tool and/or process ? Conceptual or application knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology ? Ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources ? Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing ? Ability to translate highly technical information for non-technical customers ? Ability to build relationships and work within a team to formulate solutions across many groups Responsibilities: ? Initiate estimate development across multiple teams and locations ? Implement a estimation approach throughout the project lifecycle, from high level through detailed level ? Utilize an industry estimating tool suite to assist in producing timely estimates ? Partner with Architects and Subject Matter Experts to gather necessary inputs for estimating ? Produce high quality, timely estimates with associated supporting and presentation documents (plans, minutes, source documents, questionnaires, presentations) to meet the information needs of decision makers ? Communicate estimate information in a manner that is fully consumable by an audience with varied knowledge of estimating ? Manage and monitor estimation changes, issues, risks and deviations throughout the project life cycle ? Develop process documentation to assist in training, consistency and reuse of estimate creation ? Guide other analyst(s) in their assigned estimation activities including estimate creation, estimate documentation and analysis ? Mentor other team members in their development of estimation skills ******additional comments if it can?t be sourced internal: This work would be onsite for 6 months to allow the opportunity to work with State Farm resources and serve as a way to get resource(s) up to speed in DC8. After 6 months, the work would move offsite. It expected that the resources from the vendor will be collocated when possible at vendor facility.
