Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Security Requirements Manager/Engineer will interface with the Customer Program Team (CPM) on a day to day basis. They will the main point of contract for Cyber Security activities with the CPM team. This includes (but not limited to), requirement collection, creating stories for security threats, customer reporting on cyber security activities, Security testing coordination with the test teams, managing any existing or emerging threats which are identified by the customer and or best practices. The person will attend and manage Cyber Security expectation of the customer. Provide customer support to the CPM team. Be a technical liason between the customer, customer program team, and the infotainment engineering team. Manage Cyber Security requirements for all North American and Global Infotainment Customer respectively from Farmington and Karlsbad locations.
Job Responsibilities:
· Collect and analyze security aspects of automotive Infotainment systems requirement from customers.
· Perform security analysis of current and proposed hardware platform & software security aspects.
· Support development of technical solutions and security tools to help assess and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
· Analyze customer/internal requirements and specifications and translates these into test development.
· Analyze and perform risk rating on potential risks in vulnerable Software Design / Code and suggest/implement secure approaches.
· Work with Sales, Supplier Engineering, and Design Engineering to set security system cost target. Highlight areas of cost uncertainty due to the speculative nature of security in infotainment product.
· Work with design engineering to develop security controls development timeline. Communicate any concerns to the appropriate internal departments, as well as the customer.
· Provide technical expertise & support to engineering team and production team.
· Able to lead complex projects and meet customer driven timing deliveries.
· Perform Fuzzing and Penetration testing on Infotainment Head Units Software to detect vulnerabilities and suggest remedies.
Basic Qualifications: List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
· BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (MS preferred).
· 6+ years of product requirement or software development experience, preferably in security domain.
· 3 to 5 years experience in micro controller embedded SW development or testing
· Experience in ARM Single/Multi-core Architecture.
· Working Knowledge of Embedded Linux on ARM, Android OS Internals, Linux Kernel internals, boot-loaders, GNU cross platform development tool chain and binary utilities.
· Experience working with vehicle network (CAN, MOST, UART, Ethernet AVB, LIN etc).
· Focus on specifics and details.
· Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, and creative problem solving.
· Knowledge of Cryptography and in-depth understanding of common algorithms like RSA, AES, DES, X509, PKCS11 etc.
· Working knowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IP, WiFi, BT, I2S, I2C, CAN, SPI, Serial etc.
· Knowledge on web related technologies like Web Application, Web Services and their associated security related features.
· Experience with Network and Internet Security.
· Security certifications such as a CISSP or SSCP.
· Knowledge of software / script development tools (debugger's, emulators, compilers, etc), such as for C/C++, C#, QNX, Python etc
