Job Description:
We also have a need for a more experienced contracted person that would be able to work with the team temporarily to create a prototype of our next generation of Web based application for the modern Browsers, Chrome Edge. Capable of displaying data and documents (PDFs, scanned images). The future browsers will no longer allow tools we have deployed in the past Java applets, or Silverlight to display multi-page images or PDFs, we would like to find a person versed in this area and HTML5 to work with the MGIS team to select the best approach for transitioning.
Responsibilities:
· Coding, testing and analyzing software programs and applications utilizing latest .NET technologies
· Researching, designing, documenting and modifying specifications
· Conversion of legacy applications to HTML5
· Analyzing and amending applications error in a timely and accurate fashion
· Providing status reports where required
Experience:
· Strong experience with HTML5
· Strong OOP skills and good programming practices
· Knowledge of Java Script, VB and classic ASP
· Good understanding of relational databases (Sybase, MS SQL Server) including SQL and T-SQL
· Full project life cycle
