Role:                   Java Developer - Web Services

Location:           Purchase, NY

Duration:           up to 1 year contracting, possibly longer

MOI:                   Telephonic + Skype

Rate:                   $45/hr. on c2c

We are currently looking for a talented Java Web Services Developer who is passionate and experienced in delivering next-generation web tools to the corporate user; someone who utilizes meticulous workflow prioritization and possesses a deep knowledge of Java Web Services architecture, coding and deployment. The ideal candidate should be a great communicator and - most of all - a team player who loves to both code and mentor others, and should take pride in being able to achieve great success by working alongside a well-versed team of talented engineers.  If you can hit the ground running to work on our Service Oriented Architecture that utilizes Camel, JMS, and ActiveMQ

 

Required Skills

·         Expert Level Web Services using JAVA and SOAP

·         Expert Level XML/WSDL, SQL, Java

·         Expert Level Coding skills for production level SaaS coding, support, and maintainability

·         Advanced Level Linux, Maven, JAXB

·         Advanced Level RESTful Services

·         Advanced Level Application of Certificates and Security as applied to Web Services

·         Advanced Level Spring or other MVC framework

·         Advanced Level API Development and Consumption

·         Excellent Verbal Communication Skills

·         Scala a plus

Desired Skills

·         Experience with Camel, JMS and ActiveMQ

·         Experience with Travel Industry

·         Experience working within a SCRUM environment using JIRA or other Agile Project Mgmt.

This is a hands-on position working within a very fast paced team environment. Candidate must be within reasonable commuting distance to Purchase NY, work full time on-site, and be readily available to work long term as full time employee.
