Position   : ETL Developer with NETEZZA experience

Location  : Jackson, Mississippi

Duration : 6+ months

Must -Haves:

 

·          7+ yrs. ETL Development/Design/Architecture/Implementation

·         -Netezza or IBM Pure Data Systems & Datastage (Infosphere)

·         -Datamart/ Data Warehouse Design and Modeling

·               Star Schema Development

·         -DataStage

·         -Netezza

 

Pluses:

 

·          PostgresSQL stored procedures and tables

·          OLAP Cube Development

 

Job Description

Responsible for developing data marts, OLAP cubes in Netezza (IBM Pure Data Systems) particularly using Corporate Data warehouse on Netezza platform  ETL that will support business objectives. This position is responsible for interpreting requirements into technical specification documents, supporting data/reporting architects who define and detail a business solution, and supporting data warehouse developers. This position is also responsible for guiding  mentoring BCBSMS resources on how to build these data marts.

 

 

Primary skills needed for this position:

 

·          7-10 years IT experience in analysis, architecture, development, and implementation of business applications

·          5+ years hands on experience in implementing data warehouse/data marts  data integration services' solutions

·          Must be an experienced ETL developer, and data marts designer to support Business Intelligence requirements in a variety of functional areas.

·          Hands on experience managing data and developing star schemas

 

·          Must have experience with Netezza/ IBM Pure Data systems and Datastage(infosphere) technologies to design and implement efficient data mart structures and processes

·          Experience with data flow and process modeling, analyzing business requirements and translating to written architectural, design, and functional specifications

·          Must be able to mentor the employees with data-mart development

·          Must have a good written and verbal communication skills

·          Must be able to create and maintain excellent technical documentation

·          Must follow corporate metadata processes and frameworks

·          Able to assist in refine existing Data Architecture principles, policies and procedures based on industry best practices

·          Experience with PostgresSQL stored procedures and tables (+)

·          Knowledge of OLAP cubes development is preferred (+)
