Job Description:–
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
In the capacity of a Release Manager, he/she is responsible for taking up lead roles in managing releases in an LOB. They should have expertise in the area of release planning, release facilitation, working with multiple stakeholders to facilitate infra and environment provisioning, release execution monitoring, change management etc.
They should be able to communicate with all stakeholder and take decisions with regards to releases
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Operations:
· Execute release management consulting engagements globally at customer places and deliver solutions as per the customer expectations
· Manage and ensure delivery excellence of individual and team deliverables
· Instill customer confidence through strong subject matter expertise and thought leadership
· Engage in thought leadership activities with respect to release management
Leadership:
· Excellent communication and facilitation skills
· Ability to manage customer expectation
· Establish credibility and a strong presence in the region.
· Establish expectations and model behaviors that demonstrate service excellence to staff and focuses on both Wipro internal and external customer.
WORKER QUALIFCATIONS
· Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone, and in writing.
· Ability for good articulation of ideas, presentation and excellent verbal communication skills
· Excellent Client Interfacing & Consulting skills
· At least 8-10 years of experience in the execution of process transformation and consulting engagements
· Demonstrable strength in various SDLC lifecycles like waterfall, agile etc.
· Accountable for overall program delivery
· Very good experience in planning and executing release and deployment management across various organizations
· Overall experience in transition management and enterprise Release Management Office Lead
· Definition of the Release Calendar
· Release communication to development, testing, infra and other stakeholders
· Senior management reporting
· Continuous improvement across Enterprise Release Management Office
· Expert in program, release management and build and deployment processes
· Expertise in metrics definition and dashboard creations
· Interact with the business teams and stakeholders for the successful execution of the releases
